Description

CFabaline® is a dietary supplement that contains bean extract (Phaseolus vulgaris).

Although beans are widely known as a vegetable, they have only been used in dietary supplements for a few years.

Indeed, they contain an active ingredient of particular interest: phaseolamine.

The mechanism of action of this plant-based molecule was only discovered in the 1940s, which is very recent compared to some plants whose effects have been known since ancient times.

Phaseolamine inhibits α-amylase, the enzyme responsible for breaking down starch into multiple glucose molecules, which are then absorbed in the small intestine.
