Description

N-Acetylcysteine (NAC) is obtained by acetylation of L-cysteine. It helps stimulate the production of glutathione in the body by acting as a precursor.

Indeed, both glutathione and N-Acetylcysteine are synthesized from cysteine, an amino acid that is often limiting in glutathione synthesis.

NAC therefore provides a good source to compensate for this deficiency in glutathione production.

It helps increase glutathione reserves, which gradually decline with age.
